Morning work

Below, you will see the morning maths I had planned for this week.  Usually, I'd give you 10-15 minutes to complete as many calculations as possible.  Ask a grown-up to help you with your marking.  Can you beat today's score and get a higher one tomorrow?

Below is this week's comprehension and I had planned to spend a good three lessons (if not more) on the below text.  If you come across an unfamiliar word, ask a group work to help you 'clarify' any tricky words, phrases or ideas.  Today, your task is to familiarise yourself with the text below.

Brass smiley

Today would have been our first Brass lesson of the year with Mr Conway.  As all the instruments were to be sent off to be cleaned, Mr Conway mentioned he would have been doing some singing with you all.  I have remembered a song which he taught year 4 last year.  Have a listen, join in and smile!

John Kanaka - Sing Up

This signed version of this singing game is brilliant for coordination.

A video clip to help you with your 3 times-tables and a bit of fun too!

Daily Arithmetic

I have uploaded some questions from our test on Friday.  My plan was to revisit a number of the below calculations.  If possible, have a go with someone at home.  I will add the answers later in week. Good luck smiley

Below I'll add a PDF printout version.
