It has become more important than ever for children to understand why hand washing is crucial to stop the spread of diseases.

Another activity you could do is go on a cleaning safari.  

What can you find in your house that is used for cleaning?

What is it used for?

Does it clean a person or something in the house?

 

Draw the children's attention to where things are kept and why.

Talk about what symbols mean on bottles to show that they are dangerous.  There are a few that they might have showing different things - explore these together.

Please take extra care with very young children if doing this activity.
