Welcome to Year 5

General Information

Year 5 is an exciting and busy year for our children.  This area of the website celebrates the work of the children and also provides you with information that you might need.  This section of the website will have lots of information to support your learning in Year 5.

This area will be updated regularly with activities completed by the children.  Check out the learning from our previous Year 5 classes to see what we have coming up and keep checking back as it will be updated with work regularly.

You will have a copy of this in your Homework book and it is a good idea to talk about this with an adult at home and begin to learn the words in the 'Key Vocabulary' section.

Other key information:

PE will take place every Tuesday this half term.

You need to bring your PE kits in on each Monday and leave it in school.  If you have clubs make sure you bring your PE kit back into school the next day.

Homework

Homework will be set on Century Learning. Also, the children are expected to read for 20 minutes at least 3 times a week and record this in their reading record.

Homework will be set online every Thursday and checked on Tuesday morning.
