Welcome to Early Years' class page! Here you can find out about what we are learning, our daily routines, important events and see what Early Years is all about!
Here at Pinfold, the staff and children are really proud of our Early Years Foundation Stage and love coming to school to learn. We hope you enjoy finding out about our Nursery and Reception classes and sharing in all of the learning we are doing.
Our Nursery now offers both 15 and 30 hours provision. This is free for parents who are eligible - check www.gov.uk to find out if you may be eligible. If you aren't, we can still offer 30 hours at a cost of £25 a week. If you only need your child to attend for 15 hours, this can be arranged through discussions with the Nursery Teacher, Mrs Baguley.
Our Reception year has two classes - Ladybird and Caterpillar. They each have room for 30 children, with two adults in each class; three in the mornings.
For more information about our Nursery and Reception classes, please explore the following pages. If there is anything else you would like to see on our class page, please let us know.
As the children are sadly unable to attend school at the moment, the teachers in Nursery and Reception are adding learning activities to Seesaw, our on-line learning journey. This is a great way to keep up to date with your child's learning.
Each day, we will add a few short activities which match the topics we would have been covering each day. These may include phonics, literacy and maths. There will be links to some great on-line resources to support you, please make the most of them where you can. Head over to the 'Home Learning' section of the website for more links to websites as well as details on how to access them for free.
We are aware that some of you have access to more technology than others, or are sharing devices with other children in your family. To help you, we are trying to make sure that any activity we post can be completed practically or on paper, which we sent home for you all. That way, you can then add a photo of what your child has done using your phone when it's convenient for you. We will include ideas and examples to help you as much as we can. Your child's teacher is available to message through the Seesaw app. If you need a code to access your child's learning journey and have lost yours, please send a message through the school's Facebook page.
We love seeing what all the children are doing - we are missing them lots so keep the photos, videos and messages coming - we really do love to see them. Thanks so much for all your support, stay safe and look after each other!
