KS2 Food examples

Year 4 began the year off with cooking their very own vegetable soup.  The children had the opportunity to have a tasting session beforehand of different soups (thick, smooth, noodle).  They discussed which soup was their favourite and why.  The children thought about the possible ingredients to make soup, which vegetables are most common and how we need to add water to make a broth.

Year 3 Lowry Class have designed and made broccoli and cheese slices. They practised skills such as cutting, grating, stirring, shaping and moulding. Although they enjoyed the cooking part, the tasting and evaluating was the best bit 😀
