Just before the Easter holidays, we were asked by St Barnabus church to create some things for a display for the residents and those who visit the church to look at. There are only 4 schools in Tameside and just 10 schools in Greater Manchester who have achieved this prestigious award and 104 nationally. This is an amazing achievement for our school and a fantastic accolade for Tameside.
To achieve this award, the schools have to qualify by having been awarded the School Games GOLD award for 5 years on the run and then submit a case study (written/ powerpoint or by video). These schools have shown that for many years they have a massive commitment to developing PE and school sport, not just with competition, but with leadership, extra curricular clubs, inclusion & staff development
We submitted a supporting video showing the amazing work we are all doing here at Pinfold to achieve this amazing award. With a big thanks to Miss Goodwin, who we wouldn't of done it without. Well done Miss Goodwin!
Craig Heap is a retired Commonwealth Games Gold medal winning gymnast who has represented England over a hundred times in various international gymnastic competitions.
He visited Pinfold to deliver a gymnastic lesson to Year 2. What a fantastic time they had too! The picture below shows Craig Heap and our Year 6 ambassadors.
We had 243 fantastic entries to our Easter Egg Competition this week! Thank you all for your wonderful entries! Have a look at the video below to get a quick view of all of the entries.
It's finally here! The finished product. Lots of children have worked extremely hard on this project over the last 18 months and they've created yet another wonderful Stop Motion animation using the iPad. Here at Pinfold we think it's superb and we hope you do too.
Enjoy!
This is our trailer for our new stop motion production, The Incredible Adventures of Ernest Shackleton, this will our second stop motion production made by our Year 6 children. We first started creating the artwork that will be used for the production, then we used our iPad and the app StopMotion start creating. The trailer you can see underneath was created using iMovie on the MacBook (but the same can be created on iPad). We hope you love it just as much as we do!
